A White Christmas

I was driving to be with the family and it began snowing. It was so exciting to see the flurries coming down and I had to open the back windows for the dogs. Simba enjoyed every moment and couldn't wait to get out of the car. I love the calm after the snow has settled. There is a peace that is unparalleled. I walked the boys and we felt the serenity all around us. Even though the snow did not pile up, it was great to have a white Christmas Eve. Not only that, I am fortunate to have spent the entire day with my family. Among the awesomeness of this evening was playing "Cards Against Humanity". This game is the best and most politically incorrect game ever. We were even able to get my father in on the action and that is a very rare occurrence. Now it's time to wind down and watch some "Dexter" in anticipation of Santa's arrival. Good times! I'm thankful for having a wild, insane, silly and loving family.

Merry Christmas!

Red Buddha Photography

I have had a lot of time to think about the things that make me happy during my illness. I have meditated on how to get healthy again and how to turn my hobby into something more. I have more and more people asking for photographs and I am excited that it gives me something to focus on besides law. So Red Buddha Photography was born! I really love capturing photos of our furry friends because there are so many different kinds and I think the camera can truly catch their essence. Humans are cool too but I am totally in love with taking photos of animals, especially dogs.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what this new chapter in my life brings!!

February Serenity

It was a great day. The sun was shining and it was gorgeous outside. Here are some photos that can help better describe the peace that I felt!

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's a rather dreary day and I've been yawning like mad but I am reminded that today is in fact Valentine's Day. No matter how we might feel about this day it is still nice to have an excuse to send a card or make a call to the ones we love. It's also an excuse for someone like me to be cheesy.

I am posting a few Valentine themed photos up that were taken with this holiday in mind. Enjoy! Live, laugh, LOVE!

Sixty One Degrees

The morning started out at a cool thirty degrees as I and the morning crew of the dog park awoke and ventured outside. It is the last day of January and it is sixty one degrees outside. As I sit in my sad, cold office I look out and see the sun unashamed and proud. Tomorrow is the beginning of February but that is not holding this sun back. It wants to shine and shine it DOES! I only wish that I could bask in that light because my skin is a sickly pale color and I could be mistaken for a vampire. At least I know that the pups have enjoyed their day with the dog walker and that they are currently absorbing the heat and gentle breeze as they lay on the balcony. I wish I had my dog's life.

Dogs in Motion II

Watching dogs rough house and run gives me a feeling of peace. It even makes me giggle.
